All shiny and new…
This is what we looked like then!

The Cotswold Craftsmen Gallery first opened it’s  door to the public in 2005.

For the previous 40 years or so, the Cotswold Craftsmen group had shown their work at many events and exhibitions around the Cotswolds – and beyond! –  but the gallery provided us with our first permanent home to show our high quality select work to the public all year round alongside our shows.

We added a few more plinths and shelves and began to fill out…

In In 2008, our landlord did major alterations and we had a whole new downstairs gallery to fill!  Our landlord Nick Handover permanently exhibits his oil and acrylic paintings downstairs alongside work from non-members.

In 2012, we changed our upstairs format from showing 4 or 5 of our members work every two weeks to permanently show between 10 to 12 of our members work, We continue with this format now. So you can always come and see your favourite makers work.

The gallery is manned by the makers so you can call in, meet the makers, often see them at work ,discuss work and possible commissions – and generally put the world to rights!

Details of when each maker is on duty can be found on the makers page.

If you don’t see exactly what you want, we can probably make it for you 🙂 You will find unique and beautiful pieces of work at the gallery that you won’t find anywhere else so it’s well worth making the trip.

We look forward to meeting you!
